Responsibility
- collaborating closely with the R&D Manager to manage a diverse client portfolio
- participating in client meetings to discuss the R&D landscape, legislation, and to identify qualifying costs and technical projects
- working with clients to determine and document qualifying expenditure
- drafting technical descriptions of client projects to clearly and accurately present qualifying activities to HMRC
- preparing detailed submission reports and Additional Information Forms
- supporting marketing and business development efforts to help grow the R&D tax service line
Requirements
- minimum of 1 year of experience in preparing R&D tax credit claims, including both technical and financial elements
- degree qualified
- ability to adapt to different clients, sectors, and requirements, providing tailored solutions to meet specific needs
- relevant professional qualification is beneficial but not essential. Support for professional qualification is available
- proven ability to handle client relationships and manage a busy portfolio
- excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders
- strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
