Requirements
- completion of a recognised massage therapy program from an accredited institution
- current licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and provide compassionate care
- empathy, sensitivity, and a client-centered approach to massage therapy
- strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment
- commitment to maintaining professional competence and staying current with industry standards and best practices
- flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate clients’ schedules
Responsibility
- perform various massage therapy techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, to meet clients’ individual needs and preferences
- provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming and relaxing environment for clients throughout their massage sessions
- maintain accurate and detailed records of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up recommendations
- uphold professional ethics and standards of practice, including maintaining client confidentiality and respecting boundaries at all times
- conduct thorough assessments of clients’ medical histories, physical conditions, and wellness goals to customise massage treatments and ensure their safety and efficacy
- educate clients on the benefits of regular massage therapy, as well as self-care practices and techniques to maintain their well-being between sessions
