  • we are looking for a Motor Claims Handler to join our team here in Ferndown
  • review and process Motor insurance claims
  • confident negotiation with third parties in order to achieve successful settlement results
  • verify the accuracy of claim information
  • pro-actively make outbound calls to insurers to discuss cases and agree settlement terms
  • ensure that all claims are processed in a timely manner
  • application of relevant case law and credit hire principles in order to settle cases

Requirements

  • previous experience as a claims handler or recoveries agent, within the motor industry
  • hybrid Working - we also offer two days a week working from home upon completion of your training
  • immediate Start Required
  • experience working in credit hire, insurance or automotive industry
  • experience in dealing with RTA claims
  • A good level of knowledge of vehicles
  • excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • great communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to negotiate confidently

Responsibility

  • new claims or existing claims workload allocation, ensuring the monitoring and prompt allocation of claims correspondence coming in to the business
  • working with clients to understand their mobility requirements, taking ownership of organising the solutions through our panel of suppliers
  • adherence to H&S and HR policies and procedures
  • office administration which covers a wide range of claims related tasks includes opening and logging post, general phone calls to clients and suppliers in order to provide on-going support to the client throughout the claim
  • claims monitoring, ensuring key actions and tasks are carried out within the claims journey to ensure the best possible outcome for the client and the business
  • case management which covers liability assessment and prospects of recovery following our client’s accident, this includes the ongoing monitoring and invoice generation at claims completion
