Responsibility

  • to provide maintenance and repair services to various types of air conditioning systems on our wide portfolio of contracts
  • to undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts in accordance with relevant legislation
  • liaising with internal Acorn helpdesk and administration teams to create a collaborative and successful support function
  • attend to call outs during normal working hours and in addition will be part of the out-of-hours emergency call out rota
  • the job holder will be expected to organise their work and time efficiently and to work supportively within a team
  • punctual site attendance, well-presented wearing relevant PPE and clothing issued
  • completing and submitting clear, concise and accurate reporting for works carried out and any further work required
  • to be in regular communications with the Contracts Managers on the relevant job progressions

Responsibility

  • acorn Engineering is seeking a Head of Finance role that will work with the Acorn and BMS CEOs and Mecsia GFC to support the development of the businesses, wider Mecsia Finance Function and a leading financial control environment in a fast-growing PE-backed business
  • support the group audit process. Work directly with the external audit team, providing them with high quality information, to ensure the audit is completed on time
  • support the company CEO with timely and insightful information on profitability and key metrics
  • ensure the timely preparation, review and submission of accurate, compliant annual statutory accounts
  • preparation of detailed, robust draft annual budgets for approval by GFC, as well as regular reforecasts
  • act as a mentor to the Management Accountant in coaching and developing the two Team Leaders
  • oversee and support the accounting Team, ensuring their processes fit into the overall control framework and enable a smooth management accounts cycle
  • support the group banking facilities and all treasury activities to include cash flow management and production of 18- week cash flow forecasts
