Responsibility
- provide person-centred support to children with challenging behaviours both in school and at home
- help the children to develop coping strategies and positive behaviours
- promote independence and self-esteem in the children
- build positive relationships with the children and their families
- assist with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and medication administration
Requirements
- minimum of 1 year of experience working with children who have challenging behaviours
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- A compassionate and caring approach
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- flexibility to work both in school and at home
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- valid driving license and access to a vehicle is desirable
