Responsibility
- we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our therapy team at Beech Lodge School, Maidenhead
- this is a term time only role
- conducting assessments to identify student's individual needs and developing tailored treatment plans
- providing specialist interventions to support students' physical, sensory and cognitive development
- working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care
- developing and implementing sensory diets/strategies and strategies to support students' regulation and engagement
- the successful candidate will be working with students who have experienced developmental trauma or sensory processing disorders, providing specialist interventions and support
- contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews
Requirements
- degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
- experience working with students who have experienced developmental trauma or sensory processing disorders - but therapists will work alongside experienced therapists
- strong assessment and intervention skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- commitment to ongoing professional development
- occupational therapist: 2 years
- occupational therepist: 1 year
