Responsibility
● Dough preparation - from mixing to shaping
● Assist in managing the pizza station during service - shaping, topping and pizza oven management
● Managing kitchen and staff when Head Chef not present
● Training new and junior members of staff where necessary
● Liaising with senior management team to ensure kitchen managed safely and appropriately
● Food safety and hygiene management
● Sauce, dips and vegetable prep - from bechamel sauces to our own vegan ‘nduja, you’ll be regularly making our own toppings and sauces
● Stock rotation and ordering with suppliers - ensure kitchen has the ingredients for every service, ordering with suppliers via apps and phone when necessary
Requirements
● Three years experience in a professional pizza kitchen
● Confident in hand-shaping, stretching and baking lots of pizza during a busy service
● Team player with a positive attitude, supporting the team as necessary
● Possess a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 - Level 3 is an advantage
