Requirements
- relevant qualifications Occupational Therapy and current registration with HCPC
- proven experience in a similar role
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues
- strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
Responsibility
- provide clinical supervision and in-service training for therapy assistants, nurses, and carers to develop specialized skills in a neurological setting
- actively represent and promote the multidisciplinary team’s roles in service planning and development
- foster collaborative relationships with professionals and external services to effectively address the needs of our service users
- ensure effective communication among residents, their families, and the care team
- conduct comprehensive assessments, set achievable goals, and implement effective treatment plans for patients facing a range of physical, sensory, and cognitive issues
- coordinate and ensure thorough assessments of therapy needs for individuals with various disabilities, while developing, implementing, and evaluating goal-oriented therapy programs for all residents and day care/outpatient clients
- assess the optimal level of occupational therapy required for each service user, working alongside managers and senior staff to achieve this within funding constraints
