Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • clear queries with clients and produce a list of discussion points for the senior managers or partner
  • developing and mentoring junior staff
  • monthly/quarterly management accounts
  • assisting with VAT returns and bookkeeping when required
  • professionally represent the firm and its interests in dealings with clients and other professionals
  • preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax computations for a wide variety of clients, working within a budget agreed at the planning stage
  • as an Accounts Senior you will be working to produce annual statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and returns for limited companies for a wide variety of clients

Requirements

  • 5 years plus accounting
  • minimum of 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice is essential
  • experience as an Accounts Senior is preferred, but not essential
  • good understanding of FRS102 accounting standards for small companies
  • ACCA or ACA qualified, part qualified or studying towards ACCA will be considered as qualifications are not essential, we are looking for substantial experience for this role
  • knowledge of CCH is preferred but not essential
  • experience of working with online accountancy packages including SAGE, Xero and QuickBooks is essential
  • experience of prioritising and managing your own workload
