- against this matrix, the Weld Trainer will regularly monitor and assess the capability and competencies of the Weld department employees
- working with Design, Production Engineering and Quality, the WQC will define the features Critical To Quality and develop inspection and checking processes and procedures accordingly – for incorporation into the Process Control documentation
- the WQC will be responsible for recording all Production non-conformances using the Corrective & Preventative Action process and, working with the Process / Production Engineer, identify the root cause of the non-conformance using established Quality methodology
- as Weld Trainer, you will work closely with the Production Manager and Weld Team Leaders to define and document the skills matrices for the Weld Department in line with business needs
Requirements
- have advanced knowledge and experience of Fabrication / Welding
- have the ability to read and interpret technical fabrication drawings
- be able to produce inspection reports
- be highly motivated, flexible, responsive to change and calm under pressure
- encourage positive, open discussion on any deficiencies, safety and quality specifications, making recommendations to improve processes and methods where identified
- you may be required to work in the weld production line to cover any absenteeism or increase in work load
