Responsibility
- install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment as appropriate
- organise building/engineering contractors as required for installation or repair purposes and monitor their performance against agreed specification, timescale and cost
- provide an effective proactive maintenance and breakdown service
- order machinery parts and spares as required and maintain an efficient control of stock
- plan and draw up specifications, including the design of electrical installations, for any alteration to buildings/facilities and act as Project Leader
- maintain fire detection equipment
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical/electronic and engineering systems and techniques
- ensure the site services ie, compressed air, lighting and heating are as efficient as possible
