Responsibility

  • engaging with and delivering key work to young people
  • working closely with the wider professional team around the young people
  • working closely with Abiding Care colleagues, particularly within their regional team
  • maintaining high housekeeping standards within the home
  • providing supervision and support to Live In Support Workers
  • keeping information systems and records up to date
  • completing written reports, health and safety checks and risk assessments
  • providing an On Call Out of Hours Service on a rota basis

Requirements

  • previous experience working with children and young people
  • the ability to engage with young people with challenging behaviour and/or complex emotional and behavioural needs
  • A strong commitment to working as part of a team
  • the ability to work flexibly and be available if needed in an emergency
  • good written and verbal communication skills
  • good organisational skills
  • the ability to meet and maintain our safeguarding requirements
  • working with young people: 2 years
