Responsibility
- ensure that the policies and procedures of the company are upheld and enforced
- risk Assessments, method statements and rules for the safety of all should be maintained
- daily maintenance area checks are carried out and recorded for Health and safety including environmental compliance
- the workshop and associated area is kept clean and tidy at all time with the help of the yard supervisor
- ensure individual machine records incorporating servicing, repairs and statutory inspections are kept up to date on Syrinx by the plant administrator
- all defects are reported and repaired through the company reporting process
- control of all fitters and subcontractors with regard to cost and hours work
- assigning tasks as required while monitoring the quality and performance of their work throughout the day
Requirements
- 5 year’s plus experience in a construction plant maintenance role
- experience with, excavators, dozers, ADT, Trucks, wheeled shovels, crushers, etc of all sizes and a variety of manufacturers
- attention to detail with good people management skills
- organised and methodical, knowledge of Health and safety, IOSH qualification desirable
- ideally with some supervisory experience
