Responsibility
- to safeguard and promote the physical and emotional well-being of the young people in the unit
- build up local networks and knowledge of local resources, through other youth and complementary projects, leisure services etc
- to be a role model for the young people through reflective, consistent, and non-judgemental care while setting appropriate boundaries
- to work as part of a team and to provide a supportive and stimulating environment that provides care and nurturing to the young people living in the unit
- to collaborate with co-workers and professionals to help assess the needs of the young people that have been referred/placed by Local Authorities, to support the care package
- to provide the level of supervision necessary to ensure that the young people are protected and their welfare promoted
- to record and write reports regarding all work undertaken with the Young Person
- to support in attending appointments and assist with accessing social activities and establishing hobbies to help the young person integrate with society
