- you may be required to work at other locations within the organisation as determined by the duties of your post
- to attend and contribute to staff meetings
- 3.6 To lead shifts, ensuring appropriate handovers take place, and be responsible for the deployment of staff on duty to ensure that the work required in the home is undertaken
- 1.10 To ensure young people are attending full time education, and all other appointments and meetings as required including therapy sessions. To ensure any concerns, refusal to attend or feedback is reported to the house manager
- to ensure all aspects of written information are kept up to date on files including the completion of daily case records, communications, log books, incidents records, risk assessments and other records and reports as required
- you may be required to undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager which are commensurate with the role
- 3.11 To identify individual staff training needs and participate as appropriate in the development of staff with agreement and support from your manager, including the inducting of new staff
Requirements
- level 4 or 5 in health and social care
- food Hygiene Certificate
- experience of working with young people, aged approximately 12 to 17, who have challenging behaviours

- knowledge of the problems that children and young people can face
- safeguarding training
- completing LAC reports and attending external meetings
- knowledge of the effects on young people of abuse and oppression

- knowledge of the importance of treating other people with dignity and respect
- experience of working with young people with ASC, mental health and or emotional and behavioural difficulties
- NVQ Level 3: Caring for Children and Young People
