Responsibility
- due to their continued success they require a sheet metal worker to join their team on a full time permanent basis
- our client is a successful traditional engineering company who are very well known in the engineering world for their quality and level of service they give to their clients
- job Title: Sheet Metal Worker
- sheet Metal Fabrication: Mainly 2mm & 3mm sheet metal
- welding and Soldering: Perform welding and soldering to join metal pieces and create durable, leak-proof seams
- installation: Install fabricated sheet metal components at construction sites, ensuring proper fit and alignment
- repairs and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing sheet metal structures and products, such as roofs and ventilation systems
- measurement and Layout: Accurately measure and layout sheet metal according to project plans and blueprints
Requirements
- time served or equivalent
- proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a related role
- completion of a sheet metal apprenticeship program
- proficiency in working with various types of sheet metal, including steel, aluminum, and copper
- welding certification
- knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, tools, and equipment
- prior experience with HVAC systems or roofing materials
- ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
