- 1.To visit the individual when required by the management. To follow safe practice in dealing with any given situation
- to be on the look of signs for self-neglect and/or inappropriate behaviour
- to be vigilant as to identify and document any signs of distress, anxiety or any deterioration in physical or emotional state or any concerns regarding the safety of the environment for the individual
Show more +12 - to assess and monitor the emotional state of the individual taking care with regards to anxiety low mood agitation and aggression morbid thoughts and any possible signs of harm to self or others
- they should be able to resolve or rectify to the best of the ability in a professional manner and at the same time report any findings as a matter of urgency to the manager or the designated person deputising for the Manager
- to carry out all tasks in a way that demonstrates respect for the privacy, dignity and value of all users, irrespective of severity or disability or personal circumstances
- to summon appropriate assistance in an emergency. All actions should sustain, support and enhance the independence of Service Users, as specified in their care plan
- any other duties reasonably falling within the scope of the post
- participate in meeting as appropriate and attend regular supervision sessions
- assist Service Users in all aspects of personal hygiene, i.e. washing, shaving, showering etc
- participate in i-care’s Electronic Call Monitoring system as appropriate
- advise Service Users of the complaints procedures
- assist Service Users in dressing, care of aids and personal equipment
- assist the management to maintain good relationships with other personnel involved in the care of the Service User, i.e. Community Nurses, Social Workers, G. P’s, etc., as part of a caring team
- it is important that all employees of the company follow the rules and policies and procedures as laid out in the staff handbook and in the ‘policies and procedures’ book which kept in the office and available for any Care Worker to use
