Responsibility
- working with the project teams to identify needs and provide media, buffers, basic cultures etc
- carry out routine assays/experiments alongside project teams from time to time
- assisting with the set up of simple ELISAs
- assisting with data manipulation and analysis as needed
- ensuring processes are carried out safely, efficiently, and up to the laboratory standards
- creating and reviewing and updating technical documents and SO
- being the primary point of contact for operations in the lab and be hands on in the resolution of issues
- manage equipment in the labs including the servicing intervals and management of maintenance schedules
Requirements
- A BSc Honours degree in a biological or physical science
- extensive experience in a laboratory setting
- experience with aseptic technique and of using a class II safety cabinet
- experience of mammalian, bacterial or yeast cell culture
- experience in Molecular Biology will be an advantage
- experience of managing and maintaining lab stocks
- experience with robotics and laboratory automation
- experience of maintaining documents and procedures within laboratory accreditation specifications
