- to support the clinical pharmacy leads and contribute to the delivery of a safe and effective technician led service
- to undertake duties of a technical nature, including the dispensing, checking and supply of medication to individual patients
- medicines reconciliation
- to be an accredited accuracy checking technician in a technician-led dispensary
- assessment of medicines related needs and use of compliance aid to improve adherence
- to monitor and supervise the work of pharmacy assistants at team level
- discharge counselling, provision of MAR charts, follow up, monitoring and review
