Responsibility
- we are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Newport
- support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- provide support and assistance to students with ALN in a secondary school setting

- we work with a number of schools in and around the Barnstaple area providing education support for children
- we work with a number of schools in and around the Exeter area providing education support for children
- assist students with their learning and development
- work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans
- assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and behavior management strategies
- assist students in developing academic skills, social skills, and independence, both inside and outside the classroom
- implement individualised learning plans, tailored to the unique requirements of each student
- provide one-on-one support to students as needed
- assist students with academic tasks and help them develop essential skills
- collaborate with teachers and SENCO to create an inclusive learning environment
- collaborate with teachers and other education professionals to create and implement effective learning plans
- support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that accommodate the needs of students with SEN
- you will be carrying out intervention with small groups of children led by the class teacher

- your day-to-day duties will involve assisting with work and activities, supporting students’ wellbeing and development, and helping the class teacher and other support staff to cultivate a supportive, friendly atmosphere for children

Requirements
- experience working with students with ALN is preferred
- previous experience working with students with SEN is desirable
- previous experience working with children in an educational setting
