Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards the Level 3 qualification
  • proven experience of working directly with young people at risk of not making effective transitions into adulthood
  • experience of working with other agencies such as housing and benefits to plan and provide services to young people
  • ability to keep up to date with new and relevant legislation and with development in the services for young people
  • ability to interpret information about young people’s needs and make recommendations about appropriate resources
  • SIL or Care Leaver: 1 year
  • support Worker: 1 year
  • ability present complex information clearly and concisely and ensure records of work are both up-to-date and comply with legal and departmental requirements for case recording
