WOOLLARD & HENRY is looking for employees for positions:
- final assembly and sub-assembly of machined and/or fabricated components following engineering drawings and/or technical files
- assist in the manufacture of components within our Engineering department
- checking of goods for repair and creating inspection reports
- service and repair activities
- fitting and inspection of lifting equipment
- in process and final QA inspections; following documented procedures
- support, develop and communicate best working practice and develop proactive ideas and principles
- forklift Truck and Overhead Crane activities

- reading and interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications thus determining setup procedure / programming and tooling requirements
- programming of CNC lathe
- set-ups and operation of Mazak CNC Lathe
- general machining duties, both CNC and manual as required
- use of various measuring and gauging equipment
- ensuring all processed parts are efficiently produced and conform to the related drawing and specification
- adherence to material specifications and traceability requirements
- accurate processing of work orders and QA documentation
- time served CNC Turner
- ability to self-setup and program on the machine
- manual Turning experience beneficial
- experience in VMC milling also beneficial
- have a proven record of quality workmanship
- must be comfortable working in a busy environment and be able to use your initiative and plan in advance
- self-motivated with a good work ethic and attention to detail
- enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking and conscientious
- preparation and cutting of materials and delivery to workstations; whilst complying with our material traceability requirements
- weld prepping & post weld cleaning
- operation of basic workshop machinery, saws, drills, grinders etc
- de-burring & cleaning
- swarf removal and coolant top-ups
- day to day general maintenance of equipment ensuring that any faults are reported
- packaging and preparation of products ready for despatch
- general housekeeping within the site
- competent in use of basic hand tools and understanding of basic workshop machinery
- A basic understanding of engineering drawings would be highly beneficial
- counterbalance Fork Lift Truck experience with a valid certificate
- overhead Gantry Crane experienced
- full and clean driving licence
- must be comfortable working in a busy environment and be able to use your initiative and plan in advance
- self-motivated with a good work ethic and attention to detail
- enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking and conscientious
- reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
- preparation and setup of materials for welding
- welding to required specification, following our Weld Procedures
- ensuring material specifications and traceability requirements are adhered to
- use of Tig, Mig and CMT welding plants, Plasma cutter and other metal preparation equipment
- ensuring all processed parts are efficiently produced and conform to the related drawings and specification
- accurate processing of work orders and QA documentation
- housekeeping of work area, ensuring 5S work practices are maintained
- applicants should have an enthusiasm to learn and succeed in the industry
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- applicants must have the ability to take initiative in learning new skills
- time served Welder/Fabricator with previous Coded Certs – Tig & Mig
- ability to follow instructions
- tig welding especially must be to a high standard
- good oral and written communication skills
- experience with Stainless steel and Aluminium highly beneficial
- technical/mechanical or artistic qualities would be advantageous
- operation of basic and specialist workshop machinery
- competent in the use of basic hand tools, would be beneficial
- highly intricate soldering and brazing processes
- excellent hand dexterity and good level of vision
