we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work within the Maintenance Department based at Welshpool
working a rotating shift pattern consisting of a 36-hour work week, 12 hour days and nights, with some weekend work
overtime is available after a training period and is paid at double time

Requirements
A minimum of 5 years proven experience in a maintenance engineering role
be trained to IEE wiring regulations standards
computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office
sound verbal and numerical skills are required for this position
applicants must have a good attendance and time keeping record
good communication skills are essential
knowledge of 5s, Kaizen and Kanban systems would be an advantage
good PC skills

able to demonstrate good knowledge of project management and/or product development
team player, but with ability to work on own direction to meet project timescales and targets
good computer skills and MS Office experience would be preferred
ideally with a degree in a scientific discipline preferably with a bias towards materials, polymers or packaging, however consideration would also be for experience working in a technical or process role

Responsibility
monitor warehouse stock control and report findings to relevant departments/personnel
organising domestic and international transport including preparing the necessary paperwork for customs
check and maintain warehouse records including housekeeping checks in WMS
work within Wipak WMS to process goods in/out, returns, subcontracting and picking
liaise with third party logistics partner and external hauliers
picking customer orders in a timely and accurate manner
carry out stock investigations
maintain a high level of communication with various internal departments
Requirements
FLT / Reach license and experience preferred
safety focussed
preferably experience within a warehouse environment supplying a 24 hour production department
must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and external partners
high attention to detail and accuracy

ensure daily production targets are met through correct monitoring and recording
ensure all materials meet current quality standards/customer requirements
ensure production facility is set up to correct parameters
ensure materials/tools are available for efficient production requirements
reading production plan and cutting cores in accordance with work scheduled
wrapping and strapping of pallets
responsible for basic TPM activities

FLT Licence desirable although not essential
