- full-time
Responsibility
- developing technical solutions focussed on the routing and switching technologies in line with technical roadmaps and new customer requirements
- maintaining and developing product configuration and supporting documentation for use within network design, installation, and operational support teams
- completing deep dive lab configuration and stress testing to ensure solutions are scalable and stable ready for customer deployment
- maintaining and improving existing network solutions in line with vendor hardware and software releases or enhancements
- escalating product related problems to equipment manufacturers and coordinate problem resolution in compliance with Service Level Agreements
- owning and handling of complex technical support issues via 3rd level incident management escalations
- developing infrastructure and knowledge base documentation to improve team knowledge and troubleshooting processes
- you will deliver all set targets to contribute to a successful business function in line with the strategic objectives
Requirements
- proven experience as a network engineer in the ISP/Telecoms industry
- solid understanding of common internet and networking protocols
- strong understanding of Routing and Switching protocols
- excellent understanding of SNMP protocol
- good knowledge of security protocols and firewalls
- working experience on incident management processes and prioritization
- advanced experience with monitoring systems plus a good understanding of monitoring best practices
- good understanding of RADIUS protocol
