  • responsible for policy management across all NABIS functions
  • develop the NABIS approach to ISO 9001 and ISO 17020
  • to address and action all customer feedback in relation to NABIS services
  • to develop an assessment process to ensure that mitigation of risks to accreditation are implemented and reviewed
  • to manage and oversee a continuous improvement approach to policies and operating procedures that ensures continued accreditation of the NABIS forensic hubs in ISO 17025
  • to regularly update and maintain the NABIS Quality Management Manual and the Standard Operating Procedures for the Hubs in Birmingham and Manchester
  • to maintain all IT systems relating to Quality Management within NABIS. Including the initiation and closing of all non-conformances and associated improvement actions

Requirements

  • qualified to degree level in a research subject
  • experience of writing and reviewing policy and procedural guidance
  • experience of Quality Management processes
  • an up-to-date knowledge of Quality Management and a relevant qualification in Quality Management procedures
  • experience of implementing or maintaining ISO 17025
  • A knowledge of law enforcement techniques relating to tackling gun crime
  • experience of Root cause Analysis
  • experience of scheduling and carrying out audits

Responsibility

  • as the Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding Officer you will Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, making agency referrals, including adult MASH where appropriate and work with partner agencies to provide intervention at the earliest
  • develop and implement strategies and safety plans to safeguard High risk victims of domestic abuse , including rape and serious sexual offences , attempted murder, most serious violence offences , Honour Based Abuse , and Forced Marriage
  • identify and negotiate refuge and other safeguarding accommodation, locally and nationally, and where necessary ensure that appropriate transport is arranged and victims are safely accommodated
  • conduct comprehensive intelligence checks using PNC, PND, CONNECT, Insight and other systems to support safeguarding strategies
