Responsibility
- responsible for policy management across all NABIS functions
- develop the NABIS approach to ISO 9001 and ISO 17020
- to address and action all customer feedback in relation to NABIS services
- to develop an assessment process to ensure that mitigation of risks to accreditation are implemented and reviewed
- to manage and oversee a continuous improvement approach to policies and operating procedures that ensures continued accreditation of the NABIS forensic hubs in ISO 17025
- to regularly update and maintain the NABIS Quality Management Manual and the Standard Operating Procedures for the Hubs in Birmingham and Manchester
- to maintain all IT systems relating to Quality Management within NABIS. Including the initiation and closing of all non-conformances and associated improvement actions
- to carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature, responsibilities and grading of the post
Requirements
- qualified to degree level in a research subject
- experience of writing and reviewing policy and procedural guidance
- experience of Quality Management processes
- an up-to-date knowledge of Quality Management and a relevant qualification in Quality Management procedures
- experience of implementing or maintaining ISO 17025
- A knowledge of law enforcement techniques relating to tackling gun crime
- experience of Root cause Analysis
- experience of scheduling and carrying out audits
