Requirements
- must have a strong background in accounting and financial reporting and be able to communicate effectively with management and employees
- must possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
- ability to communicate effectively with others on all levels including management, employees, and customers
- strong attention to detail is required along with ability to think outside of the box
- ability to work independently and as part of a team are critical components of this position
- bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred
- hospitality or Events Accounting: 2 years
- A willingness to learn is also required along with a willingness to take ownership for mistakes made along with willingness to work overtime as needed
Responsibility
- manage all aspects of the Company’s accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, payroll, inventory and financial reporting
- manage all accounting functions for the Company’s subsidiaries within hospitality and events
- prepare financial reports for the CEO
- assist in the preparation of financial statements for the Company’s subsidiaries
- perform other duties as assigned
