- construct, install, and repair fire doors
- use hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and power tools including drills and sanders to complete tasks
- measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to specifications
- assemble furniture or other structures as required
- ensure all work is plumb, level, and square for optimal structural integrity
- execute joinery techniques to create strong connections between different materials
- carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces as required
- collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure timely project completion
Requirements
- proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role within the construction industry
- proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in carpentry
- ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks over extended periods
- carpentry: 3 years
