WAYMAP is looking for employees for positions:
geospatial technician
Responsibility
- perform daily ambulatory geospatial data collection using handheld and static scanning devices
- conduct 3D laser scanning at various transport and public locations
- calibrate and validate mobile navigation systems and applications
- assist in system test setups, demo environments, and trial deployments
- deliver feedback from field tests to technical and product teams
- contribute ideas to improve processes and data quality
- maintain clear documentation of fieldwork and system interactions
- provide support across departments as needed, including in-field testing and training
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in geospatial data collection or mobile app testing
- background in Geography, GIS, Surveying, Engineering, or similar fields
- familiarity with mapping, localization, and routing systems
- experience with testing tools, test scenarios, and app validation methods
- knowledge of navigation platforms such as Google Maps, Apple Maps, Citymapper, etc
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- proven experience in GIS and CAD applications
- degree or certification in GIS, Geomatics, Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
