Responsibility

  • you'll be well versed in working in a fast-paced, kitchen and will have previous banqueting experience
  • you will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of food safety, presentation, and service
  • A valid qualification in Food Safety and Allergen Management is desirable for this position, ideally at Level 2 and above
  • water’s Edge Catering are a small and friendly catering team, responsible for the food service at Blake Hall; a busy wedding venue, based near Ongar, Essex
  • as Sous Chef, you will be expected to support the Head Chef and manage the kitchen efficiently and effectively
  • as Senior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef, to ensure a fantastic guest dining experience at Blake Hall
  • previous experience in a senior role within banqueting is essential, and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • ensuring food processes and quality standards are met and delivered to specification standards
