Requirements
- experience in the installation of network cabling infrastructures in a variety of building types
- conversant in UTP Category 5e, UTP Category 6, UTP Category 6a, Voice and Fibre Optic installation practices, methodologies, and standards
- copper and Fibre cable termination, fibre optic fusion splicing inclusive of testing using the latest network infrastructure test equipment
- installation of all cable containment systems including PVC and Galvanized steel trunking, cable tray, basket, and conduits
- knowledge of the latest Health & Safety infrastructure construction guidelines, standards, fire safety and asbestos awareness
- an ECS Card and/or IPAF certification would be beneficial but not essential
- industry qualification, City & Guilds or BTEC in network data cabling system preferable but not essential
- an excellent problem solver, you will be proactive, flexible, and creative in your approach to each installation
