this role will be remote based, but attendance may be required onsite in Edinburgh or Glasgow
plans, organises and delivers prioritised first-level reactive and proactive IT support to all staff
sets up and maintain presentation equipment as required, normally under the direction of their line manager
deal professionally with a range of enquiries from managers, staff and external customers to the department/directorate
venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an IT Technician until March 2024 on a rate of £13.02-£14.06/hour PAYE
ability to understand a range of work procedures and practices which require analysis and are associated with the role
work proactively, suggesting and implementing changes to local procedures and processes to improve efficiency
installs and repairs a range of hardware and software to meet the site needs and ensures the security of all this equipment

Requirements

basic IT Training such as ECDL/NVQ or equivalent
educated to SCQF level 4 or equivalent demonstrated ability in four subjects including IT
experience of providing remote support
customer Service Experience
working knowledge of IT and telecommunications technologies
experience of computer hardware maintenance
experience of an ITIL environment
good familiarity with current hardware and software
