Responsibility

- maintain patient's health and keep them safe by managing their diet, fluid intake, medications and treatment
- use technology, such as X-rays or CT scans, to diagnose patients
- report patients' conditions to doctors
- assist in the administration of anaesthetic
- work under the direction of a doctor and perform medical procedures such as catheterisation, insertion of naso-gastric tubes, and injection of fluids and medicines
- assist in removing surgical waste from the operating room
