Responsibility

• manage both BAU and project workloads of the team, making technical decisions daily
• maintaining & Configuring USS Platform Infrastructure
• maintaining & Configuring USS Backup and DR technologies

• deploying new software into the business
• working to deadlines defined by the USS project teams and Technology Services management team
• platform, Application and Operating System Compliance across the Group
• leading from a technical standpoint during priority incidents
• work closely with the Technology Services Architects to design and deliver new technologies
• manage technical escalations to 3rd parties as required
• ensure the stability and security of live systems ensuring effective operation
• ensure that the USS Backup, DR and restore functions are up to date and policies adhered to. Checking that we are meeting audit points on a regular basis
• providing Uptime/Availability reports and Capacity Planning reports when required
• ensuring documentation is maintained to provide technology handovers to the wider technical teams

Requirements

• ability to think independently and own technical decisions
• fast learner with a natural curiosity of new technologies and approaches
• strong compliance culture and high personal ethical standards

Responsibility

• PA support to the Head of Governance and Head of GGC Operations including diary management, organising meetings, document management and ad hoc administrative tasks
• booking and arranging travel and accommodation
