  • here at the University of Wolverhampton’s Students’ Union, we are searching for an Events Executive to come and join our newly formed marketing team
  • the Students' Union is going through a really exciting transformation at the moment; we are opening a bar on site for the first time in 10 years, we are opening a new deli, and we are transforming the social area where the students can hang out
  • all this combined with a marketing drive to engage more with the students mean that we are looking for a proactive person with events experience who is happy to take hold of projects big and small and run with them
  • the Events Executive will always be supported by the Marketing Executive and the others in the marketing team, but you will have to have initiative and an understanding of how to propose, plan and manage an event
  • the Student Union is a small organisation, so everyone’s actions really count and it’s a great opportunity to make a difference to student lives
  • the student population is highly diverse in terms of background, country of origin, age and other factors, so it is important that you understand the requirement to provide events that are inclusive for all students
  • the new bar is going to provide a live music venue for the students, so organising this and other events will be part of the role for the Events Executive. However, some events may occur online so any experience you have doing this would be great
