Responsibility
- develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- monitor, evaluate, and improve safety protocols and initiatives to minimize risks in the workplace
- conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards
- investigate and report incidents, accidents, or near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent their recurrence
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish safety and compliance goals and objectives
- provide guidance and training to employees to raise awareness and promote a safety-conscious environment
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations, and ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and standards
- act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are in place
Requirements
- proven experience as a Compliance/Health and Safety Manager or a related role
- experience in the logistics industry is a significant advantage
- strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- professional certifications in safety and compliance are a plus
- ability to effectively train and educate employees on safety and compliance procedures
