Responsibility

  • diagnose, repair, and maintain 12v electrical systems on a variety of leisure vessels
  • service and troubleshoot inboard and outboard propulsion systems, including Volvo Penta, Yanmar, and Honda Marine
  • use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve faults
  • install and maintain ancillary systems such as bilge pumps, water systems, heating, and navigation equipment
  • helm small craft for testing, sea trials, and customer support
  • maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • ensure all work meets safety standards and marine regulations

Requirements

  • marine engineering certifications or relevant vocational training
  • experience with high-performance or custom marine builds
  • proven experience in marine engineering or a related field
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent
  • strong knowledge of 12v systems and marine propulsion technologies
  • familiarity with diagnostic tools and techniques
  • understanding of ancillary marine systems
  • full and valid UK driver’s licence
