Education

  • act as Room Leader and to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
  • A Childcare and Education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
  • provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
  • A higher level qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education / Childhood Studies Current First Aid at Work Qualification
  • A commitment to career professional development to improve practice
  • promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
  • current First Aid at Work Qualification
  • work with the Childcare and Education team to continuously improve quality of childcare and education

Requirements

  • strong understanding of the EYFS
  • excellent communication skills
  • an understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities
  • above average teamwork abilities
  • A minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience working with children from 0 years to 5 years (
  • to be able to take on a role of responsibility, e.g SENDCo, H & S, E-safety, etc
  • experience of leading and supporting staff teams to improve practice
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Responsibility

  • undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery
  • promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
  • we are looking to recruit a room leader to lead the Pre-School Room
  • be fully aware of all emergency and security procedures e.g. fire precautions, security, dropping off and collection of children
  • work with other room leaders also implementing the EYFS to ensure a consistent approach
  • ensure the company’s policies on diversity and equal opportunities are adhered to
  • ensure the general cleanliness of the children and their environment at all times
  • undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by management
