- ensuring all orders are reviewed and loaded to meet best possible lead-time or are in-line with current capacity constraints
- working with the relevant areas to increase capacity were appropriate
- optimising the system set up to deliver clear effective capacity planning across all assembly smoothing the loads by reviewing components required
- providing feedback during the capacity planning meeting on the loads, constraints, and potential movement of the demand
- utilise feedback from S&OPs, Product management and commercial to plan for expected orders
- work with the Supply Chain Analyst to review stocking policies in-line with current demand and planned projects
- stepping in to support key customers to give confidence to recovery plans and priority projects
- planning projects to best possible dates with buffers for risk mitigation, capacity requirements aligned and questioned to maximise output and meet customer expectations
Requirements
- experience Production Planning / Scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- exporting and analysing data
- experience working with high volume part numbers and orders
- use of an MRP production planning system, ideally MAPICS
- good understanding of planning process requirements
- excellent interpersonal skills
- confident problem solver, who is able to facilitate change
- ability to work as part of a team
