HGV/Diesel Mechanic Enniskillen
Perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance to the company's fleet of light and heavy vehicles, trailers, auxiliary equipment and components.Reporting to: Garage ManagerWorking hours: Mon - Friday 7:30am to 5:45pm daily, Sat: 7:00am - 12:30pmRate depending on experienceBased at Tracey Concrete, Sligo Road, Enniskillen, BT747LF- Carry out preventative maintenance and routine scheduling servicing in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations- Attend vehicle/machine breakdowns at various locations and carry out repairs to ensure minimum down time- Trouble shoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary- Small amounts of fabrication work may be needed from time to time- Mentor the apprentices within the maintenance department- Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies- Observe and comply with all good working practices within the companyQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTESEnglish & Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above- Experience in heavy plant/heavy goods vehicle maintenance, minimum 3 years- Knowledge of auto-electrics, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical systems- A good understanding of I.T.- The ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends- Ability to keep records up-to-date- Good housekeeping- Ability to follow instructions-Ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a team with a “can-do” attitude- Demonstrate a good work ethic- Excellent organisation and communication skills with a good understanding of health and safety- Driving licence (HGV entitlement preferred but not essential)-Willing to TravelDesirable: - An ability to weldJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From £123,456.00 per hourBenefits:
