carry out preventative maintenance and routine scheduling servicing in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations
attend vehicle/machine breakdowns at various locations and carry out repairs to ensure minimum down time
perform mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance to the company's fleet of light and heavy vehicles, trailers, auxiliary equipment and components
trouble shoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary
small amounts of fabrication work may be needed from time to time
mentor the apprentices within the maintenance department
Requirements
experience in heavy plant/heavy goods vehicle maintenance, minimum 3 years
knowledge of auto-electrics, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical systems

bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential. Professional experience considered also
minimum of 2-4 years of experience in construction take-offs, estimating, or a similar role, preferably in precast concrete drainage systems
