working within a structured workforce of directly employed trades on largely domestic repair & refurbishment work
A company vehicle is provided along with benefits of direct employment within a friendly small to medium sized building contractor
works entail repairs in occupied properties therefore co-ordination with customers will be required
we are not looking for site trades, we require people that are happy working in occupied properties throughout Hampshire/Berkshire and into neighbouring postcodes
A person that can communicate well and protect their work space, soft skills are equally as important as being able to wallpaper

undertake initial surveys to domestic properties, advise on appropriate repairs, compile detailed work scopes and programmes, to prepare H&S documentation
you will be responsible for the delivery with regard to timescale, cost, quality, and client expectation
working closely with our claims handlers, site managers, operatives and subcontractors
to complete variations, final accounts and other final documentation
we are currently looking for additional experienced surveyors to start the role straight away, or we can develop the right people with trade backgrounds, or if you are within the further education system relating to this industry
to manage / help wide range of small building projects, predominantly within the insurance industry, and to liaise closely with insurer clients, customers and colleagues
Requirements
qualified in a building discipline or equivalent experience from a trade background would be an advantage
experience dealing with work of a similar nature preferably within building surveying or project management
good interpersonal skills are required for dealing with a range of customers
