Responsibility

  • bishops Stortford Social Club is in the heart of Bishops Stortford and has been established for the last 150 years
  • we are seeking applicants for the position of Bar Supervisor for the day to day running of the club
  • applicants must have experience of working in a similar environment
  • you must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to provide a high level of service to club members and guests
  • working 40 hours over a 5-day week we require an experienced and efficient Supervisor to run and maintain a well-established members social club
  • A rota will be in place for staff cover for the daily normal running of the club and also when additional functions are booked. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring sufficient staffing numbers
  • the Supervisor will manage all staff and their training and all areas of the club with regards to the bar and function room
  • reporting directly to the Committee, responsibilities will include cellar management including line cleaning, stock control, ordering supplies, accurate bar accountancy procedures, also, serving members and guests in a friendly and timely manner
