Responsibility

  • an experienced, Family Law Solicitor / Legal Executive required to join a highly regarded and established firm of solicitors
  • knowledge of care proceedings work and advocacy would be advantageous
  • the successful candidate must have experience of dealing with a varied Family Law caseload including divorce, ancillary relief, pre-nuptial agreements, co-habitation agreements and civil partnership dissolutions

Requirements

  • ability to run own caseload from start to finish with sound knowledge and a proven track record
  • family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years PQE
  • willing to actively market and seek new instructions to expand and develop the existing department
  • good verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail
  • A polite, cheerful attitude, particularly when meeting clients
  • A committed and self-motivated individual who can work as part of a friendly team
  • qualified Family Law Solicitor / Legal Executive: 1 year
  • family Law: 2 years

Responsibility

  • an opportunity for a Family Law Paralegal to join a highly regarded and established firm of solicitors based in Hartlepool
  • A Family Law Paralegal required to join a highly regarded and established firm of solicitors
  • the successful applicant must have Family Law knowledge and practical paralegal experience within a law firm
  • they will provide support and assistance to a busy Family Law department dealing with a broad caseload of family matters
  • following a trial period, there may be the possibility of a training contract to become a qualified solicitor for those applicants with suitable qualifications
  • liaising with courts/Counsel/Other third parties/legal contacts
  • attending client meetings and producing attendance notes as requested

Requirements

  • good A levels or equivalent qualifications or law degree
  • family Law knowledge and practical paralegal experience within a law firm
  • at least 12 months practical experience in family law as a fee earner
  • ability to run own caseload from start to finish with sound knowledge and a proven track record
  • strong knowledge of family law practices, procedures and terminology
  • willing to actively market and seek new instructions to expand and develop the existing department
  • knowledge and experience of using a legal case management system
  • good verbal and written communication skills together with an organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail
