- we have an excellent opportunity available for a motivated Service Advisor to join our team at Hammond Nissan Bury St Edmunds
- A courteous manner ensuring a high standard of customer service will be essential

- you will also liaise with technicians/workshop control about vehicle statuses and ensure that vehicles will be ready on time
- previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given

- you will require a full driving licence for this position

- listening and documenting customers’ vehicle concerns and processing the information correctly via our dealer management system
- you will be required to have excellent communication skills as you will be in regular contact with our customer’s and major insurance providers
- we are looking for a Service Advisor at our Ford Dealership to support our aftersales, sales teams and our entire group
- liaising with sales and parts departments to schedule vehicle checks and services appointments
- as a Hammond Service Advisor, you will provide outstanding customer care and be the vital link between our customers and the workshop
- advising customers on potential cost savings i.e., warranty protections, etc
- you will inform and consult on vehicle servicing and keep the customer up to date at every stage whilst answering any questions or queries they may have
- the role will also require good organisational, IT and administration skills. You will also be involved in ordering and receiving parts working to tight deadlines
- where applicable liaise with the workshop controller to give an idea of timescales and costs

- this is a challenging role where customer care always comes first, you'll take the time to talk to people, build a genuine rapport and identify exactly what our customers want and need
- excellent customer service, good communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for attention and detail
- you will be able to establish a clear understanding of any symptom or problem a customer is experiencing with their vehicle and complete details on a job card in order for a Technician to carry out an informed diagnosis
- the ability to work well in a team, providing support in all areas and inspiring confidence will also be advantageous

- to communicate detailed technical messages to customers in such a way that they understand what work is to be undertaken and why
- ensure that each customer reviews and agrees the items on the job card, and that before leaving they confirm contact details, method of payment and agree an appropriate time for collection of the vehicle
- job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- 1 in 3 Saturday’s 8am-12pm
- well presented individual and smart appearance
- working hours are 8am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
- listening and documenting customers’ car problems and processing the information correctly onto the dealer management system
- to liaise with customers, Technicians and Workshop Control, whilst vehicles are in the workshop to update on any additional work required, providing an estimate of costs involved to the customer, maximising every opportunity to up-sell
- meet agreed targets by maximising the sale of service and mot work with both new and existing customers
- full clean driving licence is essential to the role
