THE WILLOW TREE PUB is looking for employees for positions:
- sous Chef
- 4 days a week, mix of splits and long days
- 38 to 45 hours per week
- live in option available for right candidate
- A strong knowledge of desserts is needed for the role
- everything on our menus is made in house and our menus change weekly, so there's lots of room for input on the menus and specials
- maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures
- strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen, preferably as a sous chef or in a similar role
- chef: 2 years
- greet customers
- serve drinks on the bar
- be knowledgeable about products sold
- maintain a clean working environment
- clear glasses and tables
- communicate with customers and staff
- must be at least 18 years old
- be able to communicate effectively with management and staff
- be able to work under pressure and during slow times as well as during busy events and times
- monitor bar operations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- ensure that the bar is properly stocked and supplied with necessary items
- train and supervise staff in proper customer service techniques
- develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the bar's services
- maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and expenses
- handle customer complaints and resolve any disputes that may arise
- organise special events for the bar
- assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food service
- maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
- ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use
- support chefs and cooks in various tasks as required
- dispose of waste correctly and maintain recycling standards
- help with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages
- follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- assist with any additional tasks as directed by kitchen management
- previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly within hotels or restaurants, is advantageous but not essential
- A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation
- strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others
- ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
