the Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and arranging food in accordance to The Horse & Groom's guidelines
the pub also caters for weddings, bbq’s, hog roasts, and other celebrations both at the pub and off site
we have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Chef to join a vibrant, fun and close knit team with plenty of opportunities for exposure, progression and development
want to be part of a fantastic team at the most friendly and popular pub in the New Forest?
you will be working along side a Raymond Blanc trained chef and a strong team who are passionate about delivering great pub food as well as exploring new ideas for specials menus, themed nights etc
this individual will work closely with the Head Chef and team to ensure that all dishes are delivered on time and in perfect condition
ideally you will have experience within a busy kitchen environment, however if you have the passion and drive to succeed and be willing to learn, then this opportunity is also for you
the Horse & Groom pub is a thriving, vibrant and charming traditional pub set in the village of Woodgreen in the beautiful New Forest and attracts a wide range of guests both from the local and wider areas as well as holiday makers and regular groups ranging from cyclists, walkers, to riding clubs with their horses
Requirements
level 1 and 2 food safety
the ability to work as a team and become an integral part of the ‘family’
ideally at least 6 months experience in a similar role but we are open to a conversation about this if you have the passion
chef: 1 year
cooking: 1 year
able to work on feet for entire length of shift; must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push or pull throughout entire shift
