the Vic is the heart and soul of Hitchin, a popular St Food, live music and events pub with a fantastic reputation
we are looking for confident front of house servers to work on the floor and bar taking food and drinks orders from the customers, running the food and drinks to tables and looking after the flow of service making sure everyone is well looked after and having a great time
ideally you'll have a passion for great food and drink with at least one years experience in a hospitality setting but we will provide full training to the right candidate, confidence, enthusiasm and energy is key

maintain and run your designated section competently and to the best of your ability at all times
the following is intended to provide guidance as to duties but it is not exhaustive. You will from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by management
in the absence of the Head or Sous Chefs to ensure SFBB is filled out correctly on a daily basis
to maintain kitchen hygiene at all times and use initiative to plan cleaning tasks
Requirements
to have a good range of culinary skills and techniques to create dishes of consistent quality
demonstrate an understanding of operational standards, processes and systems within a kitchen
experience of managing resources to meet demand and eliminate waste
ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
