Editing Technician Harrow
This post is part-time, 7 hours per week and fixed term until November 2024. The salary stated above is the pro-rata amount, the full time salary would be £39,236 per annum (incl. LWA). An experienced technician is required to provide technical support and instruction in our post production/editing/grading facilities which serve all moving image and digital media courses. The role requires extensive hands-on technical and operational knowledge of traditional and NLE editing/colour grading systems, associated hardware, software, file management, workflows and server systems. Ability to deliver instructional software training workshops in Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Apple FCP, Blackmagic Resolve and related graphics and VFX applications is essential. Requires knowledge of traditional analogue and digital production/post systems, MAC and PC computer platforms/operating systems and of film, video and digital cinema camera acquisition and production principles, formats, codecs and workflows. Knowledge of industry standards, colourimetry, calibration and video line-up principles. As the successful candidate you will have excellent organisation, IT and communication skills; be able to work both under direction and independently; have experience of working within interdisciplinary media production teams; be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety or staff and students; and possess current skills in media production relevant to the role, with established and developing skills in online media. End User Support Technician Harrow
This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week. We are looking to recruit a motivated and talented individual to join our Service Management team as an End User Support Technician. The post is for our End User Support team based at Harrow. The role will be focused on providing technical support to both academic and professional services colleagues, as well as students. You will be responsible for dealing with day to day operational workload of 2nd line Service Desk tickets logged by our service users. Requests range from deploying hardware and software to users, troubleshooting any issues they may encounter whilst using applications and different hardware peripherals. You will also be supporting AV in classrooms and maintaining the systems across the site. You will also provide good customer service using a best practice approach to problem solving and following our Service Operation processes as well as maintaining the service level agreements within our department. Awareness of Mac OS systems is essential, and a good understanding of Windows environment would be advantageous. You will need to prioritise your workload in a demanding environment and be able to work under pressure with stakeholders at different levels. You should have excellent communication, customer service and inter-personal skills as they are essential for this role.
