- derby's premier gastro pub and real ale house the Old Silk Mill is looking for experienced, bubbly, reliable and honest staff
- to maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety
- ensure high standards and efficiency of work
- greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- take drink orders and serve beverages to customers
- prepare and serve food items from the kitchen
- the main purpose of this job is to ensure our guests receive the highest quality of customer service at all times and to assist the daily operational running of the bar, dining areas and cellar
- use basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide accurate change
Requirements
- previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- familiarity with culinary terminology and food preparation techniques is a plus
- bartending: 1 year
