- purchasing parts on suppliers and keeping customer updated with order status
- other general tasks included in the role
- CCN1 – Core domestic national gas safety
- CEN1 – Domestic central heating boilers
- COCN1 – Core commercial national gas safety
- CODNCO1 – Core domestic to core commercial
- ICPN1 – First fix pipe installation < 75mbar
- TPCP1A – Test and purge
- CENWAT – Boilers and water heating appliances
- CIGA1 – Indirect fired heating appliances
- post tender negotiations to take a bid to contract status
- maintain contract documentation and advise on pre-tender and post contract matters
- preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients and/or sub-contractors
- post contract liaison with design team and clients
- carry out take-offs for material procurement
- sub-contract negotiation and letting
- preparation and submission of interim valuations
- manage and value variations
- HNC/HND/BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- commercial acumen
- ability to work as part of a team supporting both the operational team and peer group
- manage numerous activities across a number of projects simultaneously
- strong negotiation skills
- enterprising, commercial and planned approach
- duties include – erecting & striking formwork for concrete pads, collumns, retaining walls, kickers and all other associated tasks
