Responsibility

  • lead on the production of TMT’s statutory Annual Accounts, ensuring compliance with the Charities SORP and all relevant accounting standards and maintain appropriate records for the external auditors
  • lead on the co-ordination of the annual Budget process and production of monthly and annual budgets and forecasts
  • oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet, and other ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
  • quarterly review of VAT returns and the development of improved VAT accounting procedures with a view to maximise input tax recovery – including the partial exemption and annual adjustment calculations
  • the post-holder will be expected to keep abreast of developments by appropriate reading, attending seminars and training courses, and keep up to date with various legislation regarding accounting standards, taxation etc
